Hi Ho Cherry-O Step Three- Making the Baskets

Iron on Pellon to wrong side of one of you pieces of fabric then, sew right sides together.

Trim.

Fold it in thirds so you can find the middle of the back.

Cut a slit in the back.
Be careful to only cut one layer and be sure yo are cutting the piece of fabric that dose NOT have the pellon ironed on it.

Using the slit you just made turn inside out.

Press then top stitch.

Add your snap and a button.  The sew these onto your gameboard.

Sew the baskets in each corner.  I used the blanket stitch and sewed them by hand for my first gameboard quilt but just sewed them on the machine for this one.  So you decide!

If you want the written instructions you must become a follower on my blog, make a comment and then email me at alpinequiltretreats(at)gmail(dot)com.  I look forward to hearing from you!

  3. I've put this quilt in my dream quilt file, but I've never heard of the game Hi-Ho Cherry-O. Can you post the game play and rules, because I'm sure I'm not the only one.
